ISO 19011:2002(E) replaces many internal auditing requirements found in the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, including ISO 10011-1:1990, ISO 10011-2:1991, ISO 10011-3:1991, ISO 14010:1996, ISO 14011:1996 and ISO 14012:1996. Overall ISO 19011:2002(E) provides guidance on the principles of auditing, managing audit programs, conducting quality and environmental management system audits, as well as guidance on the competence of specified auditors.
