| John Petie Appointed Food Safety Program Manager |
Peabody, Massachusetts. TÜV SÜD America Inc. announces the appointment of Mr. John Petie to the position of Food Safety Program Manager in its Management Services Division. Mr. Petie will be responsible for managing and supporting the Food Safety Management program and Food Safety initiatives in the North American region. "We are lucky to have a person of John's caliber join our global food safety and security team," says Craig Casillas, Director of Management Services for TÜV SÜD America. "His wide range of experience both within the certification as well as food industries, his knowledge of GFSI standards, combined with his strategic planning expertise and experience in the global food sector, is a perfect fit for both our short- and long-term strategic initiatives." Mr. Petie's most recent position was as Food Safety/Quality Assurance Director at a multi-site, ready-to-eat food manufacturer and prior to that as GFSI Senior Lead Assessor for the BRC program at NSF International. He brings extensive experience in implementing and managing various Food Safety Regulatory Compliance Management Systems in both North America and Europe. He will be based out of TÜV SÜD America's Peabody, Massachusetts headquarters.
